OK, this may be a given, after all we all knew there would be a new Call of duty this year, much in the same way, we expect a new EA and Ubisoft to bring out yearly releases of Fifa and Assassins Creed, respectfully. Activision had stated previously that the Call of duty franchise was to be developed by three different developers, this being Treyarch, Sledgehammer and Infinity ward.
With that in mind, it’s then not a surprise either that Treyarch should announce the release of a new Call of duty in 2015. Though it was not confirmed if it will be a Black Ops 3 or World at War 2.
The timing of the statement may be interesting however, and it does suggest that we are likely to hear more about what Treyarch is up to, sooner than anticipated. Treyarch’s last game was Call of duty: Black Ops 2, which grossed $1 billion in its first 15 days. So the pressure will surely be on to exceed their last effort.
